3 Campaigns That Bombed — And Why We're Proud

Not every idea lands. Here's what three underwhelming campaigns taught us about testing, timing and listening.

Every agency shows off its wins. We think the misses are just as useful — as long as you learn something from them. Here are three campaigns that didn't hit their numbers, and what we changed because of them.

1. The perfect video nobody watched

We spent two weeks polishing a beautiful brand film. It looked great and stalled at a few hundred views. The lesson: the first three seconds matter more than the last thirty. We now storyboard the hook first and test rough cuts before committing to a full edit.

2. The giveaway that attracted the wrong crowd

A broad giveaway doubled a client's followers in a week — and engagement dropped the week after. Most new followers were there for the prize, not the brand. Now every giveaway is tied to an action that signals real interest, like trying a product or visiting a store.

3. Right message, wrong moment

A strong promotion went live during a major local event and disappeared in the noise. Since then, we check a cultural calendar before scheduling anything big.

None of these were disasters. They were expensive lessons we only had to learn once — and every client since has benefited from them.
